Hello! My name is Peter Barens, a product designer and maker.
My practice centres on a deep fascination with work, craft, and labour, both as concepts and as physical processes. For me, making is more than a means to an end; it is a way of thinking and understanding the world.
With my work I try to consistently explore the value and meaning of labour, often blurring the lines between design, craftsmanship, and artistic expression. Whether working with tools, materials, or ideas, I find fulfilment in the balance between hand and mind. Through this approach, I create work that is both thoughtful and tactile, grounded in process and purpose.
